Prabhat Agarwal: Lead Investor & Motivator
Besides eGramServe Prabhat is a lead investor in early stage social enterprises like eGramServe (runs a rural BPO in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand), Junta Meals (provides hygienic & nutritious food at low-cost in migrant hubs in Delhi NCR), and Aravali Scholars (provides free coaching for competitive exams and mid-day meals to bright students of grades 8th to 12th studying in government schools in Delhi NCR). In his earlier avatar as an entrepreneur he co-founded WhoWhere.com that was later acquired by Lycos & founded Parsec a leading CRM technology company. Prabhat is B.Tech from I.I.T. Delhi & MBA from I.I.M. Ahmedabad. He has been conferred the prestigious Significant Contribution to National Development Award by IIT Delhi Alumni Association and is also a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs)

After a high flying entrepreneurial journey of a successful dot com venture, a high-tech product start-up and a thriving financial services business, Prabhat quit the corporate world and became passionate about social causes. He started with Aravali Scholars where he personally coached and mentored students from low income neighborhoods in Gurgaon to help them achieve their potential in academics. Over time Prabhat became involved in more initiatives that focused on Urban Poverty alleviation and cofounded the SafeIndia initiative, besides investing a substantial amount of money and time in ventures like eGramServe & JuntaMeals. He also seeded the extremely popular Raahgiri movement which is India’s first sustained car-free citizen initiative that began in Gurgaon on Nov 17, 2013 and is now one of the Trustees of the Raahgiri Foundation that organizes car-free Sunday’s in various metropolitan areas of the country.


Biplab Saha: Founder & CEO
Biplab is tenured IT-BPO professional and now a die-hard social entrepreneur. His social enterprise journey started with a stint at the Piramal Foundation where he got recognition for scaling-up ‘Source-for-Change’ an all-women BPO in rural Rajasthan. Prior to this he has been in leadership roles in high-growth offshore BPO ventures that include a mortgage-origination company that he co-founded in the US. Biplab also has exposure to the technology side of the business as a project manager with Parsec Technologies, a contact center technology and solutions company and as a product manager role in Sprint-RPG a leading telecom & networking solutions provider in the early internet days in India. His last corporate role was as the Sr. Vice President of CyberMedia Services Ltd, an offshore publishing service SBU of the CyberMedia group. Biplab is an alumnus of IIT Delhi.

Biplab has been recognized at leading forums for his pioneering work in the rural BPO space. In July 2010, he was invited by NDTV on their Money Mantra program to talk about the concept of rural BPO. In February 2011 he was invited to meet Anish Chopra, the CTO of The White House as part of a select group of social entrepreneurs with demonstrable business models at the bottom-of-pyramid. He featured in the Outsourcing Center October 2010 issue, a prominent magazine and Internet portal on outsourcing, run by the Everest Consulting Group and was finalist in the Social Entrepreneur category in the Power of Ideas 2010 organized by IIM-Ahmedabad & the Economic Times. He was also a finalist at the DEF’s Manthan Award South Asia for Digital Inclusion for Development 2010.


Sunil Kumar: Operations Leader
Sunil has over 10 years experience in the e-publishing domain and has worked for companies like MacMillan Publishing Services (now MPS Ltd), Altivolus Infotech Ltd. and Utkarsh Technologies. He specializes in XML, xHTML and related content mark-up programming languages and is also an expert in scripting languages. He is passionate about automation and can write a code in practically any environment as long as it helps in automation. At eGramServe he oversees the service delivery of all projects. Sunil holds B.C.A. degree from Sikkim Manipal University. Sunil himself came from a rural background and had grown up and graduated from the government run college in his village in Hindi medium. However with his determination and will to make it he came to Delhi and roughed it out for a couple of years and before getting a break in the software industry. He self supported his technical courses which helped him land a job as a Code Developer Lead in MacMillan Publishing Services. Sunil is a role model for all boys and girls working at eGramServe – they all believe that if he made it big in the world of “IT” despite his rural upbringing and education, so can they!


Bharat Khanna: Accounting & Compliance Leader
A qualified Chartered Accountant from the ICAI from the 2009 batch, Bharat varied experience in the field of financial accounting and tax laws. He has worked for over 3 years with Sehgal Mehta & Co., a leading Audit & Tax consulting firm in New Delhi. He now runs his own practice based out of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand and advises eGramServe on Accounting, Taxation and compliance related matters.


Balbir Negi: IT Admin & Tech Support Lead
Balbir is an IT professional with over 15 years of experience in hardware, operating systems, and system administration. Prior to shifting back to his hometown in Rishikesh , Balbir has worked in both client-facing and tech-support roles in Wirpo Infotech Ltd, New Delhi a world renowned system integration company. Balbir is holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from OIMT and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer hardware & networking from Jetking Delhi in 2006 where he got the Cisco (CCNP) & and Microsoft (MCSE) certifications. Balbir oversees the System Admin & IT function at eGramServe.


Ashutosh Raturi: Admin Head
Mr. Raturi is a Tehri-based entrepreneur and had been actively running his construction and hotel business in Tehri Garhwal over the last 30 years. He has also served as the Vice Chairman of the Narendranagar Town Council and is passionate about the development of this region. He is an alumnus of the erstwhile Garhwal University (now known as HNB Garhwal University). Mr. Raturi oversees the administrative functions at our center in Narendranagar.
